‘Most Impactful Emerging Global Initiative‘
The Boehringer Ingelheim “School for Intrapreneurs” wins ‘Most Impactful Emerging Global Initiative‘ at eyeforpharma Philadelphia Awards 2015, a ceremony that uniquely supports pharmaceutical companies who prioritize value for patients and customers.
Judges, in particular, praised Boehringer’s decision to tackle traditional culture head on and create a centrally supported space to protect and nurture ideas that go against the grain with Paolo Moreira from EMD Serono saying, “This is a great idea! Many companies have made similar attempts, but this one just seems to get it right. They are providing the resources and tools to really foster innovation based on the principle that the most innovative ideas come from the people who are actually doing the work. By providing resources (education/mindset, skill-building, time and financial), the tools are in place to generate innovation.”
Julie Staudenmier, Executive Director – Leadership & Organization Development, was at the ceremony to collect the award on behalf of Boehringer Ingelheim.
(The winners were selected from around 80 initiatives from North America and announced yesterday at the inaugural eyeforpharma Philadelphia Awards ceremony, determined by a judging panel of senior industry experts, and patient advocates. Technology-driven projects that were able to translate global priorities into a local context were favored.)
